Virtual Lifeline Alarm & Engine Shut Off Systems (Patented)
Maritech Industries’ Virtual Lifeline was the first of its kind when it won NMMA’s coveted Innovation of the Year award in 2005, then Canada’s CASBA award in 2006. We coined the term “wireless lanyard” to describe this brand new product. Why did Virtual Lifeline win these awards? Here are a couple reasons:
1.Its technology is unique because it is the only one activated by immersion in water rather than “proximity.” Proximity requires constant reception from base to personal receiver, which, upon break in signal, sounds an alarm. This is usually achieved by distance. However, this signal can be broken in many other ways, such as low batteries or compromising line of sight (i.e., doors, towels, people, etc.). It is prone to false alarms.
2.Everyone wearing a Virtual Lifeline sensor is protected from injuries associated with a falls overboard. It is the first and remains the only product capable to do so, making it the premier falls overboard protection device available. This is one reason why it is the first choice of state and local agencies across the United States.
According to US Coast Guard Boating Accident Statistics, 56% of all boating injuries and death are related to falls overboard. These statistics don’t include drowning and property damage losses caused by runaway boats subsequent to a falls overboard event. Our award winning Virtual Lifeline “wireless lanyards” addresses these concerns!
For the first time ever, everyone onboard can have falls overboard protection and still have freedom to move about the boat. If anyone falls overboard, his sensor will immediately activate upon submersion; instantly sending a signal to the control module, which sounds and alarm and shuts off the motor. Someone remaining onboard may quickly activate Rescue Mode, restart the motor and retrieve the person in the water.
Virtual Lifeline is Versatile!
You may order Virtual Lifeline as:
1.Alarm only for your boat, workplace, swimming pool, nighttime protection onboard houseboats and cabin cruisers, etc.,
2.activate other audible or visual alarms,
3.activate some GPS systems.
